Butt-Scooting Baby Anja

Baby Anja (pronounced Ahnya) is a day care baby. She started day care at 3 months old. When they moved her to the next classroom in the series, I remember meeting Sam. Sam's hair stood straight up like he had static all the time. But was really funny about Sam was that he scooted on his butt instead of crawling. I had never seen such a thing. I even commented to one of the teachers about it. How odd. Being a first time mom, I just assumed that kids were blobs, then they crawled, then the walked. I didn't read the manuals for post-delivery, only for pre-delivery so I didn't know what kids did. It must've been contagious because next thing I knew, baby Anja was sitting, stretching out her legs, digging in her heels, then pulling her butt across the floor up to her heels. And she could motor. No hands to push either. It was the most fun to plop her down on a carpeted airport floor and watch her scoot and watch passerbys burst out laughing. My little circus pet was great entertainment. Makes for some dirty pants!
